The adaptation of Frank Wedekind’s plays »Erdgeist« and »Pandora’s Box« by G. W. Pabst with the American Louise Brooks in the role of the man-eating Lulu is generally regarded as one of the highlights of Weimar cinema. Not least because of the atmospheric camera work of Günther Krampf in the decorations of Andrej Andrejew and Bohumil Heš.
