Touching drama about Jewish artist Charlotte Salomon, who – while in exile in France – did draw a colorful “storyboard” of her life in Berlin with her famous gouache cycle “Leben? OderTheater? Ein Singespiel”. In 1943, she, 26 years old and five months pregnant, was murdered in Auschwitz-Birkenau, while her father and stepmother managed to escape to the Netherlands.
