In May 2021 we had planned to show part of the film program of cinefest<\/i> 2020 that got cancelld in November 2020 in the Mertopolis cinema. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing lockdown, this program also had to be cancelled as an on-site event in the cinema.
However, we are pleased to be able to show some of the films in the virtual cinema hall of the Metropolis Cinema, Metropolis+<\/a>.
After the kick-off on May 14-16, 2021, on the occasion of DEFA’s 75th anniversary, more films will follow on May 20 and 27, respectively, and will be available on Metropolis+<\/a>. They are usually online for 7-14 days (please note the individual running times of the programs) and can be viewed within a Metropolis+ subscription or after purchasing an individual ticket.
The program is complemented by film talks and introductions, which can be viewed here and during the run of the films also on Metropolis+<\/a>. <\/p>\n
